Apartament in Principe Real

The apartment is a typical, no-frills studio that is not too expensive. The neighborhood it is in is one of our favorites in Lisbon. Easy communication and simple check-in, check-out instructions.

The only thing to mention is the fridge is quite noisy. We were fine with it since we didn't spend much time in the apartment and can sleep with some 'white noise.' But if you're sensitive, that would probably be a bother.

Location

check in. I was unable to get hold of the host initially via phone or booking.com messaging despite emailing the day before i left. i had said i would be checking in at 3pm on the initial booking. No one was there. I was finally contacted 30 mins later having called several times and messaged and contacted booking.com. I finally got into the property 90 mins later. Toilet seat was loose and system top did not fit, the property just needed a bit of TLC

Location was excellent - 2 minutes from bus stop from where you could get bus to the city centre or to the metro station for other destinations. It was a pleasant walk back to the Apartment from the top of the Gloria Funicular. Also very close to a Supermarket.

There weren't any large mugs - British people like large mugs!

Nothing

It was dirty. There was mould on tile grouting and curtains in the shower. There was a smell of mould throughout the unit. The bed was uncomfortable . Our reservation was for 7 nights. We checked out after 1 night. I messaged the owner to inform him we were leaving. He did not have the courtesy to reply
