Nothing not to like

Excellent kitchen and overall roominess of apartment. Host is generally responsive. Balcony with view of Pena Palace and Moorish Castle is nice. Location very convenient to supermarket and walking into Sintra center. Parking on the street nearby was no problem.

Very noisy. No insulation between apartments. You can hear every door open and close from the stairway, TV and voice from adjacent apartments, trains screeching, dogs barking. Only 1 of 4 nights was able to sleep OK by going to bed after midnight when most other residents are asleep and trains stop. The trains start again early in the morning. Needing to open windows at night to cool down the temperature (which works well) makes the noise worse. If you are used to these typical city noises it will be no problem and may explain why many reviews indicate this location is quiet.

It is in a quiet residential area. Host is accommodating and easy to communicate. A good view to moorish castle and pene Palace.

A bit far from historical centre. It is about 20 mins walk.

We were met by the host's mother who was very helpful and cheerful. Our host was easily accessible by WhatsApp. What a view from the bedroom terrace! You could see Pena Palace and the Moorish castle. The apartment was in a residential area but only about a 10-minute walk from the central historic district. We were staying for two weeks and cooking at the apartment every night, so it was nice to have a good grocery store just a couple of minutes away and a full-sized fridge! Thank you, Rui, for being such a good host.

Evidently, new neighbors had moved in recently, and their dogs barked constantly. The walls were a little thin, so we could hear the neighbors talking loudly every night. But only twice in the two weeks did the noise continue beyond 10pm. These things are totally out of the control of the host. I know someone else in the building left a note on the neighbors' door about the dogs, so hopefully this will be resolved soon because it was a really nice place to stay.

Everything is perfect. The room have every things and the owner is helpful!
