Douro River Studios

We really liked Susana's beautiful loft apartment, it is bright and has a great river view. We found the location perfect, as the apartment is a little out of town and therefore away from the crowded city center, but still within walking distance. But the best thing was the really perfect service from Susana, who responded quickly, helpfully and friendly to all our requests.

We actually liked everything, we just found the roof struts in the kitchen and above the bed difficult as you could easily bump your head. As these roof struts (which logically belong to a loft) are not covered or protected, you can quickly injure yourself if you are not careful enough.

Beautiful and spacious with Douro river view. Within walking distance to restaurants, cafés and convenience store. Very responsive host.

Bright, modern, and thoughtfully put together apartment along the Douro River. Appreciated all the detailed touches throughout the studio that really made this feel like home (including the very comfy + big bed, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, kitchen ware etc, which aren't always a given). Really lovely views of the river and hills along the water. Sitting by the window and watching the boats and trams pass by each day with a coffee was sublime. It was also incredibly quiet considering the tram line out the window. Easy self check in + Super friendly, genuine and responsive host as well. I also appreciated the ample reading material to study up on all Porto has to offer. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

To start, the location was perfect. For those who want to be right on the river, this is the perfect stay. We had access to the city center, the beaches, and we even went to a local laundry center to clean our clothes. The apartment was very luxurious and was absolutely wonderful. We really liked the feeling of being as if we are local but stay in a 5 star location.

We loved everything about this property. The view out the huge front windows was fantasy. The property is even nicer than the pictures suggest.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Much more space than we expected. All the amenities that is needed for a short stay. Close enough to the centre, but not crowded.

Loved all the space to move around in, including huge, gorgeous windows and a view of the Douro River. The studio was spotless and is on the ground floor which was awesome after climbing all those hills. Large bathroom with great shower. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was stocked including a few extras(coffee pods..)to start us off. The location was awesome with a five minute walk to get groceries or casual restaurants and a 15 minute walk to the fabulous Ribiera district. Susana had lots of information on the city, including maps we could borrow to plan our outings. She supplied everything we could possibly want. Would come back in a minute!

There was absolutely nothing I didn’t like. Just a suggestion to take the door code with you in writing. We forgot it and both our phones were out of battery. We actually had a lovely glass of wine while the nearby hotel charged them for us. 🥰

Studio was exceptional. Aspect was wonderful, overlooking river from four large windows. Very spacious and relaxing. Owner was easily contactable, if necessary, and was very helpful. Lots of useful information about Porto was provided, including guide books. We loved everything about our stay there.
