Douro River Studios

Very nice, comfortable, amazing AC , beautiful view, great shower, and amazing host

We loved our stay at Duoro River Studios. It was a great location, easy to find street parking, and the unit was so bright and clean. Communication was very clear and there was a nice treat for us when we entered the apartment that was a lovely touch. We had our 6 month daughter with us and they provided all the necessary extras to make our stay comfortable.

Great location and very quiet. A lovely aspect with 4 large windows looking out to the Douro river. The apartment had lots of space, was very comfortable and bright. Supermarket, restaurants and bars close by. Only a nice 20 minute walk to the city centre (Cais da Ribeira) where all the tourist activity is loctaed. Trams and buses just outside the door. Needed to contact host on a few occasions and always responded immediately and always very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely be back and have also recommended the apartment to friends and family.

If there was two items to change, they would be the chairs at the dining table and maybe better pillows.

The property is great, it's very spacious and clean. The view is amazing, and we enjoyed the passing trams. The grocery store is nearby, as well as a lot of restaurants. After walking for 20 minutes you can reach the city center.

All in all it was a place where it was pleasant to be, not just utilitarian. Great attention to details. Posters, books, travel guides, maps. Mickey mouse blanket for our child. Little treats for all of us upon arrival. Everything you need is there, including Nespresso (original) coffee maker and the pods. Spacious. Great view from the windows. Good sound proofing when windows are closed and stutters also do a good job to block light (and heat). Netflix subscription on TV (a cartoon for our child after long day of walking). Everything was super clean and neat. Decor is minimalistic but enough to give it character. The location is convenient for the buses and 2 historical tram lines (1 and 18). Supermarket nearby.

There's absolutely nothing bad I could say about the property. The only thing to consider is that the listing contains pictures of two rooms: first floor and the loft. We ended up getting the first floor, although I thought we were booking the loft. We were quite happy with it. But I suggest clarifying which one you are getting. Can certainly recommend the first floor property.
