RIBEIRA OPORTO APARTMENT (NEW)

The apartment was very nice in the middle of everything ; everything you could need for a few days. perfect location near shops restaurants bars near the river walking distance to everywhere Noeleen and Paul from Ireland

This was a super nice place and ideally located in Porto. Walking around was easy and places of interest easily accessible. Highly recommended. Parking available at the municipal parking lot a short walk alway with in and out privileges €50 for 3 days. L

Condiments 😊

We booked both apartments for a four night stay in October 2024. The apartments are in a great location and are reasonably well equipped, with comfortable beds and good showers. The apartment at the front of the building offers a pleasant view, with glimpses of the Douro River.

BEWARE THE STAIRS!! The description says that there is a lift and that upper floors are accessible by elevator. However, there are 21 steep steps from the building entrance up to the lift and there are an additional 7 steep steps when exiting the lift to the entrance to the apartment. Definitely not accessible. Fortunately, subsequent to our stay the fine print on Booking.com was changed to include that the lift starts at the 2nd floor - please take note of this fine print. Also, the description states that 'both apartments face the rear of the building, allowing quiet and absolute silence during the day and night'. This is not the case. One of the apartments faces the front of the building overlooking the road, which is quite noisy day and night. The other apartment is at the rear of the building with the bedroom opening onto a light well, which unfortunately acts as a echo chamber. On the one night of our four night booking that we actually stayed at the apartment, there was considerable noise from other apartments that also had windows opening onto the light well.

The apartment is situated in a very good location, walking distance to maior attractions. Easy check-in and check-out. Very good communication with the helpful host. The apartment was clean and beds were comfortable.
