This was a superb stay. The apartment is quite lovely. I loved the beautiful windows that opened onto the charming street below highlighting the delightful old buildings and pretty view. It has everything you need for a comfortable, welcoming stay. Joao, the host, was highly communicative with emails, always making sure every thing was satisfactory. The location is exceptional. It is conveniently situated in the heart of the beautiful, historic neighborhood of Ribeira, which oozes of old world charm steeped in colorful architecture. Everything is at your fingertips. Easy 10-minute walk to the Sao Bento train station, while shops, cafes, major attractions, the Douro River, Rue das Flores, picturesque neighborhoods, etc. are nearby and also easily accessible. I spent 8 nights using Porto as my base for day trips. I could not have asked for a better stay. I highly recommend this place. It was perfect, and if I ever get the opportunity to return to Porto, I would stay here again. Thank you for sharing your wonderful apartment, Joao! It was delightful.

apartment was in a good location, well presented and maintained, clean, very comfortable bed. Our room was very quiet, apartment 3. Communication from host was very good and timely. Joao even came round to help us when we couldn't figure out how to work the cooker.

Everything. Location, facilities, comfort and, particularly, prompt communication with owner. Apartment is close to river - and to lots of excellent eateries.

There is a fairly steep, but small, flight of stairs to get to the lift. Also, the lift broke down twice which meant a lot of stairs to climb for our 4th floor apartment. Having said that the owner responded immediately and the lift was repaired by the morning. Also, the apartment is on a steep hill but that applies to most of Porto!! Anyone with mobility issues should beware!

Elevator didn’t work upon arrival . Had to carry luggage up 5 flights of stairs.

The location of the apartment is very central. The host was very kind, recommending restaurants and other activities. The apartment was spacious and clean.

A coffee machine would be nice.

Bathroom was like new Comfy bed
