Liberdade 12 by The Good Neighbour in Lisbon

Very modern and nicely furnished appartment. The appartment is very centrally located. The concierge at the entrance gives some personal touch in an otherwise anonymous building.

We experienced a lack of service orientation by the landlords. First we had to communicate with two different individuals, instead of them coordinating the communcation with us. Second the light in the bathroom was not working which took three days to get repaired, which was really suprisingly considering that it was a room without window (luckily there is a second toilette in the appartment). Third, there was a power blackout for the whole building, even though it was not the landlords fault, the lack of communication and actions was astonishing.

The location was brilliant and the property felt spacious. The swimming pool and spa area were a bonus too ! Equally the hosts communicated clearly with us

We had a few issues with the door key however the staff were brilliant and it was sorted quickly,

The apartment was full of light and very spacious. The neighborhood was safe and very central.

We found a number of issues that made our stay less comfortable. The sofa bed was broken which caused the mattress to slope downwards at the foot of the bed. It was an incredibly grand sofa but the mattress was very thin adding to the discomfort. The pillows were very basic filled will foam pieces. There was an occasional light with smashed glass bulb. There were no instructions to anything and as you are not greeted and shown how machines work it was very frustrating. The apartment had overly complicated light switches their spec was so high. No information about what recycling was required for the three dustbins provided. No information regarding the spa facilities and how to work the sauna or steam room which actually appeared to be non functioning. Lots of ants in the poolside shower. And only a running machine in the gym although we didn’t attempt to make it work. No responses from Laurencio the host via booking.com communication platform. No cover on the ironing board. The bath/shower leaked water all over the marble floor making the task of taking shower an exercise in mopping water rather than cleaning oneself. We didn’t fill the bath for fear all the water would leak on to the floor. The hairdryer in the bathroom provided did not work either. Very very disappointing considering the high spec of the property and high end aspect of the neighborhood. Doormen we’re very nice and friendly despite the language barrier but we were not asked to leave our name and passport details nor did they request the cash payment of local taxes. On leaving at 10am the doorman was not in his seat so we had to leave the key on the doorman’s desk. There had been no information about the process of leaving the apartment at the end of our stay.
