Colina Mar

Groot goed ingericht appartement, gastvrouw Vanda is heel vriendelijk en erg behulpzaam. We hebben erg genoten. Locatie is goed, je kunt naar het centrum, restaurants, markt e.d. lopen. Mooi uitzicht op stad en zee vanaf ruim balkon.

Het kan soms in de avond aan de straatkant een beetje druk zijn, maar ondanks dat beviel het uitstekend.

Appartement très confortable pour une famille de 5 personnes avec 3 ados. Très propre, super équipé. Emplacement au top : 10 minutes à pied de la cathédrale. Le garage est un vrai plus ( une fois qu’on a pris le coup de main). Et encore OBRIGADA Vanda notre super hôtesse : aux petits soins pour rendre notre séjour parfait et faciliter notre arrivée.

Le bruit la nuit côté rue, un chien qui aboie sans arrêt, mais ce sont les inconvénients de la ville 😉

Narrow streets on the hill

Location was excellent for access to the town. Star aspects of the stay was the outstanding communication with the host and amazing balcony with views over the town and sea. The apartment was super clean, excellent kitchen facilities, large airy sitting room, comfy beds, two bathrooms etc It was a truly lovely apartment, perfect for our stay.

We liked everything!

It was centrally located and had a garage to use. It was nice to feel like a local and sit on the terrace and watch the harbor.

The very narrow streets to drive!

If you want to stay in big apartment in a quiet part of town, Colina Mar is perfect. Having breakfast on the balcony with the view of Funchal is amazing. It was easy to walk down to the waterfront and old town and there are shops and restaurants close to the apartment. Vanda (the owner) is the perfect host and will make sure you have a nice stay. Would love to come back... the view really is stunning :)

great location, quiet place, garage In your apartment there is everything anyone can need and expect. So, we have missed anything. We have to mention unbelievable hospitality of the Vanda (owner). This is simple the place you want to visit again.

We had a lovely time at Colina Mar. We were there to celebrate our 50th anniversary and Vanda’s wonderful warm welcome made it very special. You couldn’t ask for a better host, it was a real home from home. Spacious apartment and well equipped kitchen. We loved looking over old Funchal and the harbour while sipping our evening G&Ts! The entrance to the garage takes a bit of practice, but once inside, there’s plenty of room to park. Just make sure you hire a small car because of the entrance and the local streets which are very narrow. It was worth having a car because we loved having the independence to explore this wonderful island in our own time. Thank you again Vanda. I’m sure we’ll back!
