Colina Mar

The apartment has fabulous views of Funchal harbor. It is very well furbished, with modern furniture and appliances. The landlady was very helpful, she even drove us to airport when taxi failed.

My wife, 18 month old son and I had the pleasure of staying at Colina Mar for a winter vacation for 5 nights. We were given a warm welcome by our wonderful host, Wanda, and made to feel at home. The apartment is fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay including spacious kitchen, living and dining room, laundry, and balcony with fantastic panoramic views over Funchal. It also caters well to young families with plenty of space and equipment like cot and baby chair which makes life very easy. Wanda also had some great tips on car hire as well as possibilities of undercover parking in the building.

Absolutely amazing view and the host of the property is the kindest, warmest, and most gracious person. It was exactly what we wanted for our stay over Christmas in Funchal. There was even a Christmas tree! We hope to someday be able to go back. The beds and linens were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. It fit our family of 6 perfectly.

Beautiful sight from room on the city. Clean big and light room, nice bathrooms. Only few minutes to the city center. Host polite and nice too.

There wasnt any problem.

Spacious, great view, comfortable, well equipped kitchen and great showers with plenty of hot water. Also, parking in the garage.

You need to be aware that it is located on a steep road and you need a small car to make it easier to drive in and out of the garage. Location not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

Vanda is awesome host, she is super kind, attentive, friendly and thoughtful. The apartment is big and nice, with beautiful decoration and lovely fresh flowers. Everything is comfortable and clean. Great view from the balcony to the ocean and Funchal. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for cooking. Ten minute walk from downtown Funchal. Uphill walking was not a problem for us.

The Appartment is close to city center but doesn’t feel like it it’s in a quiet area far away from tourist places. it is so quiet you can hear the dogs in the neighborhood barking. The Appartment is shining clear, home-like, comfortable and lovely.

If you rent a car- driving there is quiet challenging since the alleys are very narrow.
