Sagres Relax Studios

Enough of hot water in the shower, quite comfortable beds and enough space to unpack our stuff and let it dry after a day of trekking.

Late check in - the accommodation should have been prepared at 5 pm which is already quite late, but when we came at 6 pm it was still in the process of cleaning. The locality - it's just at the road and next to a pottery factory, the 'terrace' is just a chair in front of the house looking at the main road. Definitely not a place you would like to sit and rest. The flat is very drafty and cold, particularly because the window in the bathroom can't be closed and there is a huge gap below the front door. Even when you turn on the heater, you can't make the room warm. Very limited equipment of the kitchen. Would not come again. For one night probably OK, but not for a longer stay.

The Studio looked very nice on first look. But .....

The building works nextdoor to the studio were so noisy. There was no WiFi. I only stayed for 1 night, having booked 3! Rebecca and Martha moved me to an ensuite room that was very nice (and was quiet n had WiFi), but in.a poor location. Ah well, you can't have it all - but so much better than the first night

pluses & minuses to location…right across the street from a great beach, easy walk into town. Place was clean & quiet, comfortable bed. For the price it was fine.

I think there’s a mildew problem that was covered up by several fake room scent dispensers that I had to wrap & hide as smell was overpowering, not natural & gave me a huge headache. Kind of an odd setting, basically right next to a big pottery store with a huge parking lot for your front, main entrance. No front windows either so not great ventilation, unless you want to open front door to face a main road and bare parking lot. Would be so much nicer if there was even just a small private fenced or walled area in front & better ventilation. There was air conditioning though & it was fine for our stay there.
