Apartamento Piquinho

The apartment is hidden so you need to find it, even the taxi driver was confused. You need to pay additional 10€ if you come during the night, and additional 2€ per person because you are a tourist. The beds are small and the bathroom is really tiny. We had luck because nobody was staying there beside us. The owner knew the time of our arrival which was approximate because you never know how delayed you will be at the airport. We arrived earlier than expected and wanted to get in contact with her but she didn't answered our messages or calls. We said at 2am and at 2am she was there, which is not very hostile. If you know you are expecting someone you need to be available as a host you never know if the person will need some additional directions. We needed to use google app to find the location so she wasn't even helpful with that because of her unavailability. The bathroom had a lot of ants. Do recommend if you arrive during the day and just need to stay throughout the night othervise not.

There is a very steep climb leading to the devices, 1 km from the bus station, I do not recommend it without a car. very small bathroom and kitchen, you need to eat outside. passage yard for neighbors. check-out at exactly 11, the feeling of a conveyor belt 🤷 this is not felt in other accommodation in Madeira

It's a good place for a day or two. It has a small kitchen with everything you need to make coffee/tea and small meals. There is a washing machine too. The host is lovely and it's good value for money. It's quite a steep hill going to the apartment but it keeps you fit :-)

There is no private outdoor space. People walk by. Also when the window of the double bedroom is open, people can look straight in. The bathroom is very small but it's all good for a short stay.

Very nice host who showed she cared about our stay. The place is located on the hill upp in the valley so the view is beautiful. A bit challenging to walk up everyday so recommend having a car. Free parking on the street close to the place. Clean and nice place, we loved our stay here.

No AC, got kinda varm inside in the summer and would have been nice with AC. The sofa is small and not so comfortable to chill in if youre 2 people.

Cute little apartment with everything you need. It was clean, the owner was very friendly.
