Everything is perfect

Lovely spacious apartment. Decor was stylish and comfortable, modern but with character. Everything was fresh, clean and thoughtfully done, very comfortable beds, plenty of towels and well equipped kitchen with coffee maker. Entry arrangements were simple and there were good bars and restaurants just minutes walk away, including a restaurant almost under the apartment with live singing one evening, none of which you could hear from inside with the windows closed, just great to have it on the doorstep. Air con also worked well.

Only slight quibble was the double bed was in the smaller bedroom which meant our teenagers got the miles bigger room which had two singles. But the smaller room was still very nice. And the family upstairs were a bit heavy footed but it didn’t spoil our stay.

Lovely apartment, bright and nicely decorated. Walking distance to anywhere in the city (for us anyway!) and felt really secure. The host Tema was also lovely, we met her on our final day and she let us leave our bags in the apartment after check out until we had to leave for the airport which was really appreciated.

As others have said the bathroom does have a bit of a sulfur smell on running water - I imagine this is because it’s in a historic neighbourhood with old pipes to match and didn’t bother us too much as the bathroom itself was modern and clean, and the extractor fan works. Also, we ended up only 2 of us but there is a note about hot water running out after 2 showers so this might be something to consider if you are a group (especially of girls who need to wash their hair at the end of each day)

The apartment spacious and well-decorated. The kitchen is well-equipped. The bathroom is clean, however, the high humidity makes it a bit smelly. We had a wonderful stay in Alfama, there are plenty of good restaurants around. Telma, our host, has been very accommodating and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Many thanks.

The apartment is in an older building with no soundproofing on the floors. The residents are disturbed during the day by walking.
