All thing, very clear, all new, big apartment, nice view

Good location; highway couple of minutes away by car, bus stop just on the opposite side of the street (bus takes you to Funchal center in 15 minutes). Restaurants, shopping center, coast in walking distance. Spacious apartment, defintitely enough room for 2 but even 4 people. 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Relatively well equipped kitchen for basics (some mugs would have been good) Don't expect tools for big cooking though. Cleanness we could not complain about, everyting was tidy and clean. Despite the still ongoing construction near the inner 'garden', noise was not disturbing mostly that they did not begin work before ~8am and later wasn't too loud either. Worth mentioning that everywhere in Sao Martinho tons buildings were being built. In some parts - far from the apartment - pneumatic hammer making the days of people 'fun'. Compared to those here was nothing. Dedicated parking place was great to have, though at first the surprisingly narrow parking garage made me sweat even with a small car :-). Got used to it eventually, but don't rent a big car unless you're a parking juggler.

The bedroom facing the street is a bit noisy. Cars come and go even during the night, the windows' sound-proofing is not perfect. Better to have earplugs just to be on the safe side. With the other bedroom there's no such issue. The beds, while being comfortable in general, definitely need bed rail replacement. When we just as much as turned from one side to the other, they made such rattling noise that woke us up instantly. We applied some 'workaround' to be able to sleep, yet, that's a weak point. Netflix or other streaming service would have been good.

Close to bus station. Appartment is enormous, awesome price:cost ratio.
