"Comfortable yet unforgettable stay!"

10.0

Perfect location. Right next to the train station and bus stops, which was ideal for one day of sightseeing in sintra. Also close to restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. It was a BEAUTIFUL property. First floor, which is perfect for families and to bring in your bags. The spaces are a lot bigger than expected. Very clean. The bed was so comfortable. It felt like you were staying at a hotel. The patio was great and with a view of the Moorish Castle which is lit up at night. The host even provided some complimentary goods. We recommend it for anyone for a long or short stay!

Everything was perfect. We didn’t get bothered by it, but the trains passing under the apartment may bother some guests.

"Superb"

The place looks exactly like on the photos. Everything was spotless clean, all amenities provided. The kitchen is fully furnished and loaded with plates/utensils/electronics. The apartment building has a free parking lot tucked in its backyard.

The train noise and vibration comes and goes. You get used to it after a couple of hours, but can be startling at first

"Wonderful stay!"

10.0

The apartment was in a perfect location! Easy walking distance to many sights of Sintra and a short drive to the Palace and other attractions. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable for our family of five. The beds were VERY comfortable, and the apartment was extremely clean. We loved our stay! It was also very handy to have parking as we had a rental car.

Nothing!

"Perfect, comfortable and convenient."

8.0

Well appointed, tastefully decorated and clean!!

Located over the tunnel which leads to train station. If you’re sensitive to noise or vibration, might not be the best. No trains after 11 pm until morning. Didn’t bother me but my husband aware of trains. Convenient since located near train station. Great location out of very touristy center, we walked everywhere.

"Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment in a great location."

9.0

A beautiful apartment in a great location, within easy walking distance to the train, bus station and town centre. There's a local bus stop at the door to take you to the three main attractions, saving lots of €€s, plus a patisserie. The apartment was spacious yet cosy and warm and beautifully decorated.

Nothing.

"Nice Central Apartment and Terrace. Pack ear plugs if you think the trains might disturb you though."

8.0

Great central location for Sintra and close to the shops. Decent sized apartment with very comfortable beds, lovely quality linen and towels. The kitchen was well equipped. The water was hot to shower in. The terrace looked wonderful but sadly for us it rained the whole time we were there. The potential of parking in the car park is handy (if there's space available and you have a compact car). I contacted the owner whilst staying and her responses were within an hour or two and very polite. The bottle of wine provided on our arrival was a nice touch. As was the coffee pods.

The noise for us here was an issue, the apartment is ground floor in a block of apartments built literally over the train lines. They ran every 20 minutes and into the night even with it being a bank holiday. I actually went back to the booking description to check if trains obviously being mentioned but no. When I went to the lesser scoring reviews I could see a number of people had felt the same but overall the other reviews are so good that I hadn't read all. I communicated to the owner that the trains should be at least mentioned as each one literally rumbles the buildings foundations for a minute as it passes but she said booking.com control that information. Granted, Its a pay off for an amazingly central location and being close to a station if you are travelling by train but I would have rather be made aware before booking and then I would have known to tell my family to all pack ear plugs. As the weather was awful we spent our complete day and night in the apartment. Although clean and spacious a few things would have made this more comfortable. The sofa seats 3 people and there's no additional armchair, only dining chairs. The apartment sleeps 4 but I ended up sitting on the floor to watch a movie wuth them. Also the sofa is old and not comfy (other guests have mentioned this so hopefully a new one could be on the way for future guests?). There's is a log fire which is mentioned in the advertising but there were no firelighters, matches or wood stock to use it. Again a shame on our stay when we were rained in. The bath is very slippery to shower in and there didn't seem to be any kind of non slip bath mat to put into it for safety. My parents are 80 and 85 years old so it was particularly tricky for them. The car park is fairly small and VERY tight to manoeuvre in and out of avoiding the rock walls and other densely packed cars.
