Beautiful apartment. Very comfortable with everything necessary to make it comfortable.

Building construction in the basement made staying in the apartment during the day unbearable. We realise the owner has no control but we should have been warned.

The Alcantara neighborhood is a good location in Lisbon.

The property manager did not have the decency to notify us that there was major (jackhammers etc.) construction ongoing below our apartment. We would have changed apartments ahead of our arrival. Then she promised us that it would be short-term (we arrived on a Tuesday and she said it would stop on Friday). She also couldn't understand why the noise would be a bother (“Does it bother you because you will be working from home?”). No were on vacation, extremely jet-lagged from the long journey and just wanted to sleep it off. That was impossible. She was not telling us the truth at all about the construction ending; it started right up again on Monday and then she confessed that it would last until early March. We asked to leave and expected to get a full refund; we didn't. We offered to pay for the two weekend days when there was no noise; she made us pay an additional day and I am still asking Booking.com to help us have that refunded. The manager and the owner simply have no integrity and this property should be de-listed from all booking sites.

A beautiful apartment in a great location!! This apartment is newly renovated! designed beautifully, spacious, comfortable with all the amenities to make for a great vacation! we found great coffee shops and restaurants nearby and it is a short Uber ride to all the attractions in Lisbon. the park opposite the building is beautiful with Peacocks and roasters roaming - a great place for a walk.

The apartment is located away from the city center, but near the train station which leads to Cascais. The street is on a hill, so be prepared to climb a bit, but this is Lisbon, you should get used to it. There's a strange park nearby full of roosters, very few cafes and restaurants around, a dock with restaurants, but a very scary underground passing which is the only way to cross the roads. The apartment we were staying (with one bedroom) is wonderfully decorated in African style, very clean and comfortable. It has a huge kitchen with a plenty of space to cook and a small round table to sit. There is even a small balcony there. The kitchen has many appliances such as dishwasher, washing machine, toster, kettle, microwave and so on. The host provided us with enough detergent for everything, with toilet paper, shower gel. Also there was salt and pepper, oil which was very handy. The bedroom is very cozy and spacious, has enough wardrobes, the bed is very big and comfortable, so we really enjoyed it. The host Maria is very friendly and did her best to make the living comfortable. A really good apartment to stay!

Very far from the city center - 35-40 minutes of walking. Closest supermarket as around 10 minutes of walking. Microwave was almost not working - the touch screen is broken, so it was merely impossible to start it. Internet is working ONLY in the living room. Apparently, the router is very old and doesn't work in 5Hz, so 50 MBps and the living room area is the maximum you can get from it. So, be prepared to use your own mobile internet in other parts of the apartment. For us that was an issue cause we worked from home, but for other guests that could be absolutely fine.

The hosts were very welcoming, and Rita was a joy to talk to and help navigate the city. Lisbon itself is a wonderful city, and she could always give some good recommendations on places to visit and eat at. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood in the middle between popular places to visit (which also means at a certain distance from everything), which is neat. It is also near a certain palacial garden, and while a little rundown, it's pretty nice to visit and maybe see roosters, peacocks and all kinds of plants.

Stone floors get very cold late in the fall - no slippers were provided, and for us barefoot walkers the kitchen and the toilets might be unpleasant to be in. The apartment is in the middle of a hill with no facilities around, so if you want to get anywhere, you're up for an exercise. It is also located on the first floor, which means you probably should cover your windows with something - but there are no curtains, for people with allergies to dust, only blinders that block out all external light. It's not great waking up in darkness. The main door is extremely thin and doesn't isolate any sound, so if you spend time in the living room, you'll hear just about anything going on in other apartments, and every time someone walks in or out of the building, be ready for a loud thump. And, more of a neutral thing, but for anyone to whom this information might be of interest - the mattress was too soft for my liking.

Wonderful place. Maria (the host) was great, very friendly; she kindly accommodated the check-in and check-out time to our schedule. Apartment was very clean and conformable. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.
