Great location and easy check in and out. Lots of equipment.

It needs a more thorough deep clean. Neighbours above will disturb you if you don’t have earplugs.

The location is great! The fancy Dutch door that opens horizontally and vertically is so fun! Super efficient space.

Good location close to the attractions in Alfama area.

The bathroom was cramped for space, though this was expected as this is in a much older building than we are used to. This is to be expected in such an old area.

Tim was absolutely fantastic,. extremely nice and easy to contact.

Shower wouldn't drain even after Tim came to fix it. Then it would leak through the tiles and flood the floor. I had to use my towels to soak up the water so I had limited towels. It always had a few inches of dirty water in the shower floor that would just stagnate there. Big toe sized cockroach I had to chase down and kill, but have to expect this in a tropical country. There is a great AC in the kitchen and a plug in one bad one in the bedroom. Basically the bedroom one is useless without the kitchen one on, as it pulls the air from the kitchen. However my issue was only two of the 4 nights did they both work. If either randomly shut off it would be suffocating heat and you wake up overheating. The bedroom has no windows. Further, when emptying the water container in the bedroom AC, it was absolutely COVERED in black mold. I didn't want to use it after seeing that hoping spores are not being thrown into the air, but it's so hot without it you don't have a choice. Also, plan to be up at 6am each morning. The people upstairs will make sure of it. It was so loud the first time I woke up in a panic thinking someone was actually in my room.

Compact well kept home. Owner was always very responsive

Loved the location right in the heart of Alfama and Manuel was lovely and very helpful. Be prepared for lots of hills, Alfama is not for the faint hearted but absolutely wonderful.

Beds were not comfortable and people above were noisy (though not much the host can do about that). If bed was better, would give a much higher rating.
