OPO.APT - Art Deco Apartments in Oporto's Center

Great architecture. As an art deco lover I was impressed by the authenticity. The touristic city center is in walking distance going through very interesting areas.

The house is comfortable and clean, the location is very convenient, metro, bar and supermarket in the area.

As we had an early flight we were able to make arrangements to leave our cases and was given keys. The property was located about a 15 minute walk into the centre, the train station was about a 10 minute walk, a bus stop was 2 minutes. The apartment was clean and the kitchen was well equipped, could have done with an extra rubbish bag though. Both bedrooms were twin bedded which suited us as we were three ladies. We found the public transport to be very good, both trains and buses were on time and very good value. We had a downstairs apartment which had garden access, unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough to use it.

There was a little traffic noise and of course others were staying so there was some noise from people coming and going. As we were out all day this was not too much of an issue.

Location, apartment layout, outdoor space and general size.

Neither bedroom doors fitted correctly and wouldn't close fully. Bedroom off lounge: door jammed, couldn't be opened from inside, people phoned the other occupants for assistance at 03.19. Shower very dark and in need of a thorough deep clean. Beds very low and mattresses hard.

Really good location - close to transport links ( tram and bus) and pretty easy to walk to the river or the centre of Porto. Close to good shops and restaurants.

Could do with a little tlc. Outside space is important to me and the garden was overgrown so difficult to get to the outside furniture. A small induction hob (2 rings) and a microwave limited what we could cook.

easy walking distance to metro station and grocery stores. Downtown Porto is 20 minutes walk if desired. Apartment is comfortable for 4 adults, with well equipped kitchen. Each room has independent air conditioning. Overall a very pleasant stay with no complaints.

No microwave oven, although not an issue for our stay. Other guests may want one.

Kitchenette too small to prepare quick breakfast or dinner. Crockery was chipped. Dishcloths dirty . Beds are not good quality. No cupboards in bedrooms. Accessibility to attractions is not really what we expected. Garden overgrown .

Beautiful and spacious space, good facilities, location near metro and nice coffee places. Easy check in/out. Definitely recommend.

The owner was very quick replying all my texts. The place was clean (not the common areas which seem to belong to the same owner) there was a lot of space and we had everything we needed.

The person handing me the keys could only speak Portuguese, we understand ourselves, or I believe we did... I though there was a terrace or a patio but these correspond to other apartments at the same building, I would recommend to delete those photographs of the add corresponding to this apartment to avoid misunderstandings. The fridge is very little and there was no washing machine. It was not as close to the center as I expected.
