Bairrus Lisbon Apartments - Alfama II

Comfortable beds. Good location. Staff were there to let us in and communication was good. Recommendations were given. The terrace was good. Great to have a coffee shop opposite.

People walk past the side windows at street level at all hours. Quite often smoke drifted up from outside if we had the window open a little. When we arrived at 3pm, the cleaners hadn't been, but no recompense was offered. Waving the cleaning fee would have been good. We waited 1 and a half hours and the cleaners did 30 minutes work and left. The lounge was not as light an airy as it looks in the photos on Booking.com and the main bedroom smelled a bit. Not sure what, but it wasn't pleasant.

Someone was at the aprtement to give the keys and explain about the parking.

The location was great with the 28 tram right outside the door. The beds very comfortable. The host went out of his way to book a Fado show for us and allowed both early check in and late check out. We had everything we needed in abundance. The decoration gave a real sense of being in Portugal.

The shower was a little tricky to use and not get the floor wet.

Wonderful location, beautiful balcony …perfect for 2 couples or small family.

The apartment was decorated well; it was easy to access. The kitchen was good and the bathrooms were clean. The owner let us check in early.

The pillows were very hard and too large to comfortably sleep on. There was no working hairdryer.

The property manager met us earlier than the official available time and was very personable and answered all our questions and provided a method for us to contact him should we need any assistance. The apartment is perfect with the 2 bathrooms for a small family or 2 couples. The kitchen is great for doing small items like coffee and tea and going to the market and picking up a few items. It was a perfect location to everything in Lisbon, you must walk up and down steep hills but it adds much to the experience in Lisbon.

It is difficult to keep the water in the shower area with the tub converted to a nice shower..just be aware..this should not stop you for renting this property!

Fantastic location, close to restaurants, shops and sights. Great coffee shop right across the street. Apartament has good range of facilities (washing machine, coffee machine) and a small and quiet courtyard garden to enjoy some fresh air. The host was great, was waiting for us with the keys when we arrived, great communication. Definitely would stay there again!

Lovely apartment in the historic Alfama district. Very close to all the tourist spots, and if you don't like walking the tram stops right outside!! Although the weather wasn't brilliant it was nice to have an outside space to have an early evening drink al fresco.

We have no complaints.

The apartment was very central in the oldest part of Lisbon, with a tram stop almost outside our door. It was a bonus having a patio to use.

The en suite bathroom was a little dated.
