"A unique, peaceful and charming property and lovely hosts close to the city centre."

My friend and I loved this cosy suite on the ground level of this lovingly restored Quinta guesthouse. Being so close to the heart of the city, yet in a beautiful, quiet garden, with amazing views from the terrace, was the best of both worlds. Helena and Roberto were exceptional hosts attending to all of our questions and needs, even helping us to get hard-to-get tickets for the viewing stand at the amazing Flower Festival Parade, and taxis, (as the local bus was not working while we were there.) We definitely felt safe and secure in their home, and found all of Helen's recommendations for restaurants and shopping and sights to spot on. There were many small touches to make us feel welcome. Overall, we both highly recommend this apartment for tourists looking for unique accommodation with charm and history.

The steep winding roads that made walking and driving challenging. But still it was worth it for this very special garden retreat.

"Amazing!"

We absolutely loved the property. The lush garden, the view, the pool. It's a true hidden gem in Funchal. Helena and Roberto are very friendly. I miss this place already.

Only thing I can think of it that 2 sets of towels would have been nice for a week long stay.

The two hosts Helena and Robert were great. The quinta was great. And the location was unique and beautiful and created with so much love. I have never experienced such great hospitality

We have absolutely nothing to complain about and were 100 percent satisfied

It was breathtaking, the views, opening the doors of the studio and seeing the sea 😍😍. The fruit trees all over the property. swimming pool. Very quiet and peaceful environment. 100% recommended

"The most amazing place!"

This was the most amazing place! Warm welcome, BEAUTIFUL garden, heavenly pool and great views (on the ocean + city of Funchal, especially beautiful from the lounge on the 1st floor at nightfall when all the lights go on). Very fluent communication with Helena, who sent us lots of additional info, including where to find the best pastries :), answered our questions quickly and patiently, and arranged transport to the airport. 100% would book again!
