Great location, easy to walk into the centre, lots of lovely restaurants on our doorstep. Really well designed apartment which a huge terrace for sunbathing, dining and lounging. We will definitely return.

We love about this stay absolutely everything! Starting with our amazing host! Without hesitation I can say that I never had a better one! From the moment we arrived and left place, he was helping with everything. Now about the apartment. It has literally every single detail that one could require and even more. Some things, even like extra towels and even floors mats for morning exercises. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything, to elaborate more on those, I can safely say, that it has a dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, and all the best possible kitchen appliances. The whole place makes you feel like you’re at home and by the end of the stay, you wish you had more time to stay there! It also comes with a garage option, incase you rent a car and this is really helpful. The terrace is really big and cozy. We were sunbathing and having our daily meals outdoors only. The terrace has a roof, where you can hide during the hottest hours of the day. Overall, I can surely say, that this place holds the most welcoming and heart warming place from all the travels.

It was a pity that a hot tub and spa bath was advertised but not there at this moment in time

Where to start. Everything was perfect from the beginning, Riccardo (Joao's father) met us at the main entrance with the keys. I guess we were a little bit apprehensive at first, travelling with young children (4 and 2 1/2 yo), we know what kind of reaction we can sometimes get from people when they see us coming, but not with Riccardo. All his attention was on the children from the start, flattered we wanted them to discover the island and picked his property. He then explained he actually aimed at families with this holiday rental, having travelled himself quite a lot with his 4 children. We could tell straight away Riccardo is kind man, totally devoted to his family. The appartment itself is outstanding and the photos bearely do it justice. Everything was spotless, with little touches in all the rooms: dressing gowns in the master bedroom, a bed protection for our daughter in the children's room. The appartement is very bright and the terrace is definitely a plus to enjoy a meal or drinks after a day out visiting. We felt at ease straight away, beds are very comfortable and everybody slept well during all our stay. The location was extremely convenient for us, just a short walk from the park (less than 5 min) and probably only 10 min from the center (slightly longer with the littles ones). There are a few "supermakets" around that are more convenience shops but perfect for the first night, with prices quite reasonable. We went to the Doce Hypermarket located in the shopping center on the second day (12 min walk). Restaurant food is also gorgeous with a great offer of traditional dishes. Life is Madeira is very relaxed, the Maderians are pretty chilled and so kind it made us fall in love with the island. It is also extremely safe, which is great as we could focus our attention on enjoying some family time away from winter in the North of England. We cannot wait for next year to come back and know exactly which place we will be staying at!
