Beach Apartment Vilamoura Villa Columbus

Beach was about a 5 min walk; great walking area, easy access to bus transportation Two grocery stores just minutes away Great access to nearby restaurants and the Vilamoura marina area We were there for two weeks. The apartment was cleaned weekly. The pool and area is a nice feature and well maintained. The hosts met is at the apartment and showed us everything we needed to know to operate the stove top and other amenities. They were also quick to respond to any questions or needs. Excellent hosts!

The apartment shows its age. The wall tile in the bathrooms, light fixtures, walls in need of painting, etc. There was nowhere to hang towels. The small stick-on tabs were inadequate for large bath towels. They came off the wall after about a week. Then, there was nowhere to hang wet towels. There was black mold in the guest bathroom, but this was removed after the issue was shared with the hosts. When weekly cleaning was done, too few clean towels were left. We did find more towels in the TV hutch, but these too were not sufficient for a 4 week stay. We felt like we paid too much for the accommodation. We learned that we could have stayed close by in a much newer facility for just a little more $$. The apartment is advertised with an ocean view. In this apartment, only a sliver of the ocean was in view from the corner of a small balcony.

Totally surprised with the size much bigger than expected very clean and had all one needed for a perfect holiday .lovely balcony overlooking a beautiful pool and pool surroundings really very well kept. Plenty of coffee shops nearby as were two supermarkets within 100 mts.Great holiday overall

The pillows

Amazing hosts, so personal, met us and showed us around. Told us about the local amenities, etc. The apartment is fab; spacious, stylish, clean. Super bed and mattress. Kitchen was so well equipped, it even had a gas hob wow!! Lovely big balcony with a barbecue. A massive TV another wow lol. Lovely quiet complex and clean pool area. Another huge positive is the appartment is so secure and safe. It was €4 in an Uber taxi to Vilamoura marina, which is a great spot for foot, bars, and shopping. Beach is 5 min walk. Would definitely return..
