Black Gate - Quiet Studio in the Heart of Old Town with Free Private Secured Parking

Great location to explore Brasov centre. You enter into a big but undecorated communal hall and staircase, but when you open the apartment door WOW! Tastefully decorated, enormous and comfortable bed, good kitchen facilities and comfortable relaxing area with sofa. Plenty of storage and all modcons, super clean, warm and quiet.

The secure on site parking was not available during our stay due to scheduled surface improvement works. But the owner pre warned us and paid for our on street parking very nearby. So not a problem.

Apartament frumos, curat, confortabil, in centru și având ferestrele spre curtea interioara ( și spre Tampa ) multă liniște.

Din păcate, scara pe care este apt, nerenovata,, murdara, fără lumina ( senzorul nu funcționează), iar in cursul zilei zgomot de la lucrările in celelalte apt.

All great, we would recommend to stay here! Bed was comfortable, enough place and storage for 2 persons. The parking spot is definitely a big plus.

The location is perfect, just a short walking distance from the old town center(5min). Also the parking is an additional bonus as it’s a big stress with the public parking in the area. The apartment looks very nice, refurbished and still kept a bit of the old building style. The kitchen well equipped with all you need for cooking or just heating some food. The living room area is great, as well as the bedroom with a huge bed. The bathroom is small but with all you need. The water needs to be ran a little to get hot, also a floor towel would have been nice. Overall I totally recommend this place and I would be happy to return.

The fact that it was near the city center.

The check-in was not ready until 8 PM, and until that time, the owner avoided answering our calls. Initially, we were welcomed with a dirty apartment, and I had to call him five times before he finally answered, pretending not to hear us at first. The apartment was dirty, the bed had no sheets, and all we got was an apology, claiming he didn't have time to clean, even though it was already 5 PM. He promised to make it right by cleaning the apartment and refunding us the cost of one night, but the refund has still not been returned. Even though the cleaning was supposedly done by 8 PM, the apartment was still dirty. There wasn’t even shampoo provided in the bathroom, and the mattress was full of yellow stains. The parking remote didn’t work, so we couldn’t use the parking spot. We feel deceived and taken advantage of by this host.
