Apartament Topaz

The apt is spacious, probably well suited for a couple. It has the basic amenities that could make your stay comfortable (plates, glasses, spacious fridge). The building has an elevator which is a plus given the fact the apt is at the 5th floor.

Looking for accommodation in Brasov during hot months I usually apply pretty specific filters to my search- I m looking for AC, for a balcony, a spacious unit, etc. This apt seemed to have it all. When I checked in I noticed the apt didn't quite look like the pictures, some of the features were changed or maybe this was another unit. This raised a red flag but I though I should let it go, since the apt was spacious and looked decent, overall. I started looking around for an AC, just to discover the apt doesn t have one, with over 30 degrees C outside and over 27 inside. Trying to contact the property, I had no timely answer so I contacted booking.com to ask for advice and a relocation. The relocation wasn't possible but they were able to offer me a discount so I believed the whole ordeal was over. This was happening around already 9 pm. A few minutes after my calls with booking.com the owner called me. This is where things started going south quickly. She started yelling over the phone that she wants me out of the apt and she ll reimburse all the costs (9 pm, again, in a foreign city, me being a female travelling alone) because she knows "my type" of tourists, that complain about every little thing (the lack of AC, in my case, which this apt has it clearly listed as one of its features) and she doesn't want to host me anymore. I tried to explain that it's late and I would be able to find accommodation on my own as I don't know the city that well but I would be willing to leave if I'd get some assistance with this process, like recommendations or even a referral. This kept going for over 10 minutes in which this lady kept yelling and yelling and not allowing me to utter more that a couple of words a minute. Things were clear, she wanted me out without caring about my safety or comfort whatsoever. Only after I managed to tell her that I booked and paid for the apt through booking.

Very clean location. Neat furniture and clean. Bad is very comfortable and big.

There is a bit of noise from the neighbours.
