Albina apartment

The apartment is within walking distance from the train station and only 10min from Ljubljana’s city centre. Easy communication and check-in with the owner/manager. The kitchen is well equipped and the aircon and washing machine are definitely a plus.

We feel that the photos and description did not represent the apartment. It appears to be a converted office with the glass entry door opening directly into the living room or bed room (if sleeping 4). It felt exposed as there was no curtain on the majority of the door. There are no windows in the apartment and there is no ventilation of fresh air. The owner compensates for it with a huge number of potpourri and other smelly things that were overpowering and we needed to put them in the cupboard during our stay. The entry to the apartment is ground level and the main bedroom is below ground. The spiral staircase is shaky and may not be suitable for people requiring walking aids. There are 2 bathrooms, the upstairs one is very tight and the downstairs one is very noisy and not in a great shape (broken and dinted tiles). We would not choose to stay here again but managed ok for our 3 day stay.

Good location, on street parking, ease of communication with host, quiet and comfy.

There was a string smell of cigarettes when we entered he apartment. Likely came from outside as the window was open and neighbours were smoking outside near the door, but it was unpleasant.

The apartment is very complete, it has everything.

The downstairs bathroom was very noisy. The entrance to the apartment at night is difficult to find, very dark area.
