Albina apartment

Great location just 10 min from center

The apartment which is improvised from office space. Bedroom is in basement level without windows. Third bed is on ground level and you cannot shade it (the storefront of the business premises, which extends along its entire length). The noise of the water pump can often be heard from the basement bathroom (imagine sleeping with a penetrating machine sound).

There is everything for short and long stay in this apartment. I was there in winter. It was warm in the apartment. Landlord is a good and talkative person. The apartment has a excellent location. The historical centre on the city next to apartment.

Very convenient location, within easy reach of the train and bus station, and just a short stroll from the city centre. A quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. Nice, modern, well-equipped, and very clean rooms. There is a Mercator supermarket nearby, just a minute away on foot. The apartment is practically right next to the Ethnography Museum.

The main door opens directly into the living room from the street. Although there is shading on the side windows, there is no shading on the main door, so the light from the street lamps comes in at night. No windows at all in the downstairs bedroom. There is a widescreen TV, but there are no TV channels available, only streaming - and you need to use your own passwords to log in and watch anything.

Needs to be more Clean, tight upstairs bathroom and scary stairs

The apartment is very clean and well maintained, as well as very well stocked - we had everything we needed and more. We loved having two bathrooms, it was very practical having a toilet downstairs for those sleeping in the basement bedroom (the heated floor and the bidet attachment were wonderful surprises). The location is fantastic, it's only a couple minutes walk from the city center, the river, the main squares etc. It was also great value for money, especially considering the location.

We would have liked if the host was a bit more responsive - we weren't sure if street parking was allowed or not (as it's mentioned that there's free parking, but there's not really a designated spot) so we called the provided number, but nobody answered and we didn't get a call back. The upstairs neighbours were also quite loud (jumping and stomping) until midnight, however, it was a Saturday night so it's sort of expected, I guess.

The palce most probably used to be a work office/studio, which is now rearranged for hosting purposes. There's no hallway or entrance, and the door directly opens to the street, which somehow gives an office impression rather than a hotel or appartment. There is one sofa bed on the ground floor, and one twin bed on the -1 floor, which is accessible via a windy stair. The twin bed was great but our friends had complaints about the sofa bed, which was apparently not that comfortable. The location was relatively central (10 minutes from the Dragon Bridge). For parking our car, we used the huge parking lot of the central train station (300-400 m from the apparatment), which was 8 Euros per day, and much cheaper compared to other options.

The downstair toilet makes very loud and disturbing noises due to its automatic flush. Even if you don't press the flush button, it works automatically based on the fluid outlfow in the sink/toilet! This was really annoying at nights, as the sound literally would wake everyone up. Also, for two couples and four nights, the number of clean towels were way too few. Likewise, in the kitchen for cleaning/drying the dishes, the towels were almost non-existent. The drainage in the bathroom didn't work properly. Everytime we took a shower, a small lake would appear below our feet! :D The Sofa bed is not the comfiest according to our friends. In general I felt the place was overpriced for what it was.
