Accommodation at the Folklore Apartment

Very unique, fantastic location and great communication from host. Stayed with my mother, wanted to stay on sofa bed but it was too uncomfortable. Ended up using blow up bed which was okay for 3 nights.

Stunning apartment, perfect location.

We arrived early. The keys were not due to be collected for a couple of hours but, because the host had sent a pic of the keybox, we thought we would check in early. Our keys were not there but the host came out to meet us and let us in.

The location was good

Be warned. Whilst the flat is cosmetically pleasing to the eye the functionality throughout does not match. I got trapped in the bathroom for 2.5 hrs as the door handle fell off (it wasn’t screwed in properly). Despite strangers calling the owner who said she was on her way to get me out she never arrived and I had to be rescued by another stranger. I also had problems getting her to answer her phone when I had problems getting into the apartment. This concerns me that it’s a pattern of unhelpful behaviour from the host.

Comfortable, clean, and functional apartment. Efficient, comfortable, and easy to use heating system. The place has a notably eclectic decor. At first, it appears a bit jarring, but it is tastefully done, and the place grew on me, and after a day or so, I felt right at home and appreciated the original layout and decor. The place is quite thoroughly clean, with the exception of under the bed and under the sofa, which appear to have been accumulating dust for a decade, but everything else in the apartment is irreproachably and entirely clean. Maybe the cleaning crew can show some occasional love to under the bed and sofa? Then, the place would be flawless.

The place is beautiful, well laid out, with artistic touches. I was very comfortable there. It's very well located for walking round the city.

The keys are in a key lock which is stiff and extremely difficult to open - especially when given the wrong instructions. I was fumbling in the freezing cold for 15 minutes. Luckily the hot chocolate lady helped. Please update your instructions and put some WD40 on it!

The location was ideal, close to everything, tram stop outside but still very quiet at night to get a good nights sleep .

Whilst the property is going for a vintage shabby chic sort of look, it is a little run down and needs some attention to repair things and a good deep clean.
