The Cave

There was nothing to like about this property apart from the location and the cleanliness.

The property is going through renovation. There was a very unappealing portaloo at the top of our steps as well as support poles down the steep narrow steps which made it quite dangerous at night. Inside the main door had a temporary ceiling which looked like a severe fire hazard. There was a very strong smell of damp inside the apartment and the mattresses were very hard and difficult to sleep on. My main concern was getting out of the property if anything happened. There were three doors to open which would have proved very difficult in a panic. I contacted the owner and she waived the city tax but was unable to offer any refund as the payment was through Booking.com. I hope you take the severity of safety measures at this property very seriously

I stayed here couple years ago so was not hesitant to stay once again. Walking to the city center and all the sites including the castle which is super close to the apartment. Only 6 minute walk from Ljubljana bus station if arriving on a bus if arriving from the airport or other cities and it is where you go to catch the bus to go to other parts of Slovenia too. The host is lovely and leaves welcome drinks a lovely gesture. The apartment is spacious and clean

Very comfortable apartment, with the table and comfortable bed. Internet was good and it was very clean. A friendly host and a very practical location. I could walk everywhere and easily go back.

The shower is horrible, and of course the facade, but considering that it is in a basement, the lack of windows an ugly entrance was expected.

The location of the Cave is perfect. Since it is in a basement, there was no noise from the street or from the neighborhood, we really liked it.

A shower curtain and changing the mattress on the double bed would be nice.

Location excellent and value for money exceptional. Host Andreja was lovely and she met us at the property. The property was spotlessly clean and the welcome drink was a nice touch.
