Mint Guesthouse

The guesthouse is not on the Main Street, you have to go behind the streets and walk about 3 minutes. The street down is everything you need (restaurants, scooter, bars). Beach is about 10-15 minutes. Room was big and a balcony.

We had trouble to find it first but you just have to go down the road and around the corner.

It was cheap & near enough to the beach. And we got our laundry done.

I feel the description does not reflect reality. This is really a hostel, but presents itself as a guesthouse. It was very cheap & would have been fine if we'd known what to expect. But we didn't imagine we'd have to walk through a building site (which gets muddy when it rains) to access it. Reception was barely staffed & while we got our laundry done it wasn't delivered to our room as promised. We had to go to the restaurant across the road to get the receptionist to open up reception so we could get it. (We only knew this was possible because of reviews here). The woman at the restaurant was very rude & when we asked about cleaning shrugged and said they don't do it every day. Which was a bit grim in the toilet. If you are travelling on a budget and just want a place to crash, fine. Otherwise, avoid like the plague! Wouldn't recommend. I'd give it one circle, not three!

Cheap and not that far from the places to be.

Check in was very easy and the lady was easy to understand. Room was good, beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean and good size. The location is good, only a 5/10 minute walk down the street to the main bars and restaurants.

The bathroom mirror was dirty when we came, but other than that there was no problems.

Ok location and quiet. Everything you need near by. Walking distance to everything (beach, diving, pibs, restaurants and bars)

Noisy aircondition in our room, it was also dripping water on the floor. Very white lights. Hard madrass and hard pillows. Gravel and a bit of bad road to the property.

my sister was sick there because of the boat trip and the bed were really hard so she didn’t have the greatest time. but i slept really well !

We were there for Scuba.. so we didn't spend much time there. Facilities are basic enough. Room was big. Rooster crowed at 3am every night for no reason... so don't be afraid of hens! It's a little bit of the track which suited us to be away from the party noise. Overall great value for money.
