great location, good interior design..

there was a bad roach problem.. bad. they crawled on me while I was sleeping.

The location - very near the hustle and bustle of Ocean Drive and the beach, yet very quiet

I've had the same issue for the collection of the keys that I have read in other reviews - and when I arrived to the location Storm Nicole was battering Florida, therefore I got completely drenched whilst finding a way to get my keys - not a very good start! The guy who manages the property should be more attentive/hands-on: takes ages to reply to messages (and sometimes when he finally replies, he's not fully/properly replying to one's enquiry, or answering something different to what one has asked...) I had issues with the shower, which didn't work properly and the water would get scolding during use/not turn off properly; when I flagged the issue, I was promised that someone would have been sent to have a look, but that never happened - I had to ask the cleaner who was in the building for assistance, and we found a way to make it work. There is a very bad smell of humidity in the corridors of the building and the apartment itself. The walls are pretty thin or very badly sound-proofed - I could literally hear everything that was happening in the corridor and in the nearby apartments. I think there were some dodgy going-ons in the apartment opposite mine: people would constantly come and go, especially at night - and the guys staying in the apartment would also leave and return shortly after pretty often: since I was on my own, that didn't make me feel very safe, especially at night... The whole apartment (235 - studio) needs some renovation/refurbishment ASAP, since as it is at the moment it's barely livable...

Close to the beach and bars, yet calm and quiet. Great apartment.
