would’ve been nice to to be notified about the construction. Advised to bring noise canceling earphones or earplugs. The hydraulic steel post pile driver starting at 7:20 in the morning very disturbing while tucked in our comfy beds.

Best place I’ve ever stayed in Charleston. Perfect location, amazing clean, stunning decoration.

Long stairway up. Small bedrooms without convenient plug ins.

The location is good, the decor is lovely, the kitchen is very nice - beautiful stove and refrigerator. Beds are large and shower is very good. Nice water pressure and heat. But serious lack of attention to detail.

For the price I paid, there were a lot of issues with this place that lead me to leaving a less than stellar review. 1. Almost no lamps anywhere, you had to use very bright overhead lighting. There was one lamp in the living room that put out no light at all. There was a place to put a lamp in one bedroom but nothing there so you had to use the overhead light and get out of bed to turn it off. There were wall sconces in the other bedroom but they were completely useless because the switch to operate them was behind a 6 foot tall headboard. You literally had to pull the bed away from the wall to do it. I noticed that previous travelers just screwed the light bulbs in and out to turn them off. 2. Poor water pressure in the bathrooms - the toilets and sinks barely worked. 3. Polyester sheets on the bed. I was paying over 300 USD a night and was shocked. They hold the heat in and were uncomfortable. 4. Loud noise from the guests in the adjoining unit. I could hear the neighbors talking at a normal voice all the way into the bedrooms but when they came in drunk from being out, it was so loud - I now know why the noise canceling machines were in each bedroom. 5. Lack of customer service -we texted about the lights in the bedroom and got an indifferent answer an hour later. When we texted again, no response for the 3 days we were there. 6. The remote control for the volume does not work for the tv. We turned on the tv to at least drown out the noise of the guests next door but could not adjust the volume. 7. The Roman blinds in the living room were broken and the furniture was a bit run down in the bedrooms. All in all, its a very nice looking place but the attention to detail to make it an excellent place is not there. I saw on previous complaints in Airbnb and Booking and Vrbo that these complaints have been coming up for years and the management does not care enough to do anything to address them. Its a pity.

A written copy of instructions and rules in a notebook in addition to those in the email Instructions for operating the tv and the coffee machine Major problem: I was sent several emails leading up to the visit. The last email or so had a different address. I forwarded that email to my guests. One of them caught the error thankfully or we would all habe arrived at the wrong address!!

Location. Lots of space. Very cozy. Beds were amazing!

Dishwasher wasn’t working, but they got it fixed 2nd day. Some late night traffic. Lots of stairs. Not the best for older people.

The adjoining apartment was loud. Not sure how that could be resolved.

The location , the space was large with a nice kitchen.

If there are guest in the adjoining unit you hear everything. The host does have a noise canceling machine in the bedroom, which was needed. The kitchen has plenty of kitchen ware but no food items amenities , so bring everything if you plan to cook anything. The water in the sinks never got hot but the showers were great.
