Lovely Remodeled 2bdrm Basement Home

The location was great because of the proximity to the Metro station. The neighborhood was attractive.

Everything was good.

Even though it is a basement, we didn't feel like we were in one. The house is warm and well-lit with plenty of lamps. The location is great, close to the subway.

A lot of rules. Basic rules that every good guest always follows (except the part about taking out our bed sheets, which was unusual for us), but we were feeling overwhelmed by it, especially because there is a security deposit involved. Nevertheless, it's not a big deal; we still enjoyed our stay.

For a basement, it was a nice apartment, very clean. Friendly and helpful host.

No daylight in a basement home. The washing machine was broken but there was a laundry service available instead.

Location was great. Not too far from the monuments and center.

Parking was the issue as there was no parking available with the apartment. You will need to find parking nearby.

the people upstairs stomped the entire time.. the washer and dryer wasn't hooked up. , the sheets on the sofa bed was dirty, but the cleaning guys came right over to change them.

Picture are legit to what it is! The house was very clean, comfortable and pretty, way better than I expected. The neighborhood is good, with supermarkets and subway station three blocks away. Also, the host was always ready to answer all my texts and very understanding about an issue I had during my stay.

It is located in the basement of the house with its access FROM THE OUTSIDE (some steps down on the right side). The bad side of it is that you can hear people walking around on the floor above. The supermarket and subway station area doesn’t feel very safe with many weird people around. It’s not possible to park on the streets for more than two hours so we had to park in a parking lot four blocks away (less than 10min walking) for $18 hours/day, so don’t forget to put that in your budget when renting this house. Because of that, it’s worthy to always take an umbrella in case it rains, especially in the summer. !!! WARNING !!! I HAD MY CAR STOLEN! I had a Hyundai Elantra 2013 and during the night, my car was stolen while parked on the streets on Girard St. The police officer told me old models of Hyundais and KEAs are being stolen every day in DC so, if your car is one of them, AVOID PARKING ON THE STREETS.
