Toilet smelled a little

The condo was in the third unit, approximately three blocks from the street. The location was good, and the amenities were decent. However, I would NOT rent from this guy again. The advertising is misleading (the view is from 3 blocks away and has two condo units in front) and he has all these ridiculous "rules."

NOT IMPRESSED with the host. I emailed to ensure a seamless experience and verified the use of beach gear, including snorkels. The host said he would reimburse me for the expenses if the condo did not have them. When I contacted him to reimburse me, he ghosted me. The bedroom is ridiculously hot. Because the host is anal about the AC, and because of the location of the bedroom, the air doesn't circulate well (so he compensates you with old stand-up fans). The condo is not clean - the carpet is stained, there is black mold in the bathroom, and the bed feels like crap. I've slept in better airport hotels. The "cleaning ladies" do not clean well and you find globs of hair on the floor. You can see the bathroom stains. Plus, you have to pay extra if you expect a midweek cleaning. Do yourself a favor - book the hotel. The faucets don't work well and run more air than water. The toilet runs incessantly. The kitchen knives are dull. The beach umbrella case is broken so good luck carrying it. The washer-dryer hook-up is nothing short of ridiculous and dangerous (he has notes everywhere with rules and expects you to do what he and the cleaning ladies should have done). Notes everywhere - telling you what you must do. Do not hang your towels on the balcony. Do not get anything on the white bathroom towels. Do not allow the AC to run when you are outside the condo. Instead, leave for an hour and return to a blazing hot unit (for which you already paid a premium). Do not run the washing machine with regular laundry soap because it "floods." If you use the dryer, you must empty the jimmy-rigged nasty ice cream bucket full of lint and leave the door open while it runs (thereby increasing the heat in the condo). Like I said, it was GROSS. The host did not know how to use the on-site BBQ unit, so I had to find a resident to help. When someone says they will do something, and they don't, it's a RED FLAG. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

There was no dresser for clothes in the bedroom. Used my suitcase

Partially Oceanview, near to the beach and restaurants. Self Check-in worked fine.

Very old and worn out apartment. Not very clean and way way too expensive!

Great location with less than 8 minute walk to the beach in South Kihei. The ukulele was a nice surprise.

When I arrived the cleaner hadn't been there yet. There were a few items that required attending to such as the hallway light being out, the dryer and toilet. Just regular maintenance which I was assured would be attendee to.
