El Rancho Grande

The host was lovely, she tried her best to make us comfortable. It was my second stay, every year I will go once a year. Absolutely value for money. Clean, hot water. Beautiful bathroom.

Bed is sinking. It needs to be changed.

Breakfast was delicious.

The 2.1 kilometers gravel road leading to the venue.

The atmosphere was good and there no noise at all which gave one peace to relax .

The issue of booking which I had to wait for staff to fix my booking since there was a person who was booked in my space . The staff put me on the wrong date .

1. Stove didn't work. Person who came out gave a broken lighter for to lite the gas stove. 2. There was a dead fly in the kitchen 3. The one toilet did not work. 4. 5 keys , opening the front door took us about 15 minutes. 5. The one bedroom light did not work 6. The lamp in the room didn't have a bulb. 7. No one was aware that the booking I made included breakfast. 8. When this was confirmed that we do get breakfast, they did not have any eggs. 9. The back of the TV control missing 10. Call not being answered I called for them to open the main gate. 11. In the refreshment pack , which included tea, sugar an NO coffee!

I think maybe in the past this might have been a great overall destination, traces of what it might have been is vaguely still seen. The inside of the chalet were spacious for us. Secure and quiet.

Firstly I found it very frustrating to phone every time acces to go or enter needed. It is taking away the freedom to move in or out. Gardens and walkways need attention in my opinion. Reception could do either a better job than welcoming and assisting with departure(Need to look for relevant staff for assistance) Shower in the chalet had to be washed either the broom before anything new could shower due to the floor being very slippery from previous usage. Sitcom not been working after requested for repairs was told that they would get someone the next day, not even feedback were given the next day that no one would not come in. Requested a braai in the afternoon 12:00, not having one to braai supper, only after the third 3rd request one was brought after sunset. Had to make braai in the dark with no light.

Frans and Dabby were superb 👌both welcoming and entertaining
