Poipu Plantation Vacation Rentals

The location was ideal for our needs. Ample parking and a good sized accommodation space for 2 people. Kitchen facilities were good, even if prep space for cooking is small. Greatly appreciated the early checkin and extra airbed for one night.

The accommodation is clean but very tired and in need of updating.

I appreciate how accommodating they were to a mistake made in my reservation. They really went above and beyond. It wasn't their fault or mine. I reserved it through a 3rd party booking co.

À notre arrivée, nous avons été très surpris : aucun accueil, aucune présence sur place, simplement nos clés laissées dans une enveloppe sur un desk… qui n’en est même pas vraiment un. Durant tout notre séjour, nous n’avons rencontré absolument aucun membre de l’établissement. Cela donne une impression d’hôtel laissé à l’abandon, sans présence ni suivi. L’ensemble des bâtiments qui composent l’établissement est dans un état de mauvais entretien évident, aussi bien à l’extérieur qu’à l’intérieur. L’espace repas est une pièce commune qui ressemble davantage à un débarras qu’à un lieu où prendre ses repas. On y trouve un réfrigérateur rouillé aussi bien à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur, ainsi qu’une simple machine à café. Les machines à laver et sèche-linge mises à disposition sont elles aussi dans un état lamentable et totalement inutilisables, tellement elles sont rongées par la rouille. La chambre est vieillotte, très mal insonorisée et, en bonus, nous avions des colocataires non invités… (insectes). Il n’y a même pas de véritable séparation sécurisée entre la rue et la porte de la chambre, qui semble tellement légère qu’un simple coup de coude pourrait la faire céder. Bref, au vu du tarif demandé, je trouve cet établissement clairement à éviter. Une expérience très décevante qui ne correspond absolument pas aux attentes.

Microwave is not existing Wifi was broken, but I fixed it by myself

I had cockroach in my room and even in my room. There are are 5 suites and minibar(rusty) for everyone. We didn't have room for our stuff. The toilet lid was loose and the cleaning of the room left something to be desired too.

I loved the beautiful grounds w/blooming plumeria trees providing scented shade and resident shama birds and their sweet lilting songs. The suite was spacious for one person, very comfortable and well appointed

I didn't like the very sticky screen door, the only way to enter the unit from the deck. I had to call the owner to come and yank the door open and I had to do that myself many times a day. I understand the sea air wreaks havoc on aluminum frame doors.

The manager was never on-site and was very difficult to communicate with. The property description was highly misleading; it advertised a dining room, which turned out to be a shared common space. For four rooms, this "dining room" only offered a tiny, old, dirty, and half-broken refrigerator. There was no sink, no microwave to heat food, and not even a basic knife to cut bread or fruit. ​The room itself was incredibly small and stuffy. Our nightstand lamps didn't work, and there was only one nightstand, forcing us to use a chair to hold a watch and a glass of water. Furthermore, the TV didn't work and the toilet was leaking. While management finally addressed a few of these issues on our very last day, it was far too late. ​To make matters worse, when the manager finally showed up on our departure day, he was completely dismissive. He acted as though our complaints weren't a big deal and literally stated it wasn't his job to ensure the wall outlets worked. He offered compensation for the massive inconvenience, but of course, never followed through. This was a deeply disappointing experience for $2,500 a week. Avoid this place.

Very accommodating hosts help make this stay comfortable and relaxing. Property is a short walk to the beach for evening turtle viewing. Plenty of plumeria trees on the property give a great island smell!
