Rosenhof Nut Hut Cottage

The location is good as it's easy walking distance to the centre of town but still far enough to be quiet. The owner contacted us prior to arrival to give us clear arrival instructions which was very helpful. The cottage was well equipped for self catering and there is a very nice, fully equipped communal BBQ area by the pool where guests could prepare their own food. They include all crockery, BBQ tools etc. You only need to bring your own food. It is definitely one of the better places to have a stopover at when travelling on the N7. Parking was inside a gate on the property.

The cottage had its charm but the shower could do with being freshened up as its tired and dated.

Rosenhof Nut Hut cottage is centrally located in Clanwilliam. Charming and comfortable little cottage, very clean with great attention to detail and comfort. The hosts had communicated consistently and checked up on our arrival time. Monique was on hand to welcome us. She took great care to ensure we had everything we might need including the delicious loaf of freshly baked bread. We had the choice of our own spacious verandah or the relaxing lapa around the pool to relax and have the supper we had brought with us.

The wooden duck boards in the bathroom under the bath mats. I tripped over the one in front of the toilet and we both took scary slides stepping out of the shower. Probably normal mats or something with a non stick rubber base would be better on the smooth floor. Something to hold onto stepping out of the shower would be helpful too.

We left at 05.30 on 19.04.2025. Had our own travel breakfast self prepared

What a beautiful place - it felt like a big family compound. My kid enjoyed the pool, trampoline, swings and the big grassy grounds with dogs and kids of other guests. The host is possibly the most patient and helpful in the hosting world!! She helped to call and check all kinds of information for us, even when herself was on Christmas holiday!! Her tireless efforts made our stay such a wonderful time. We wholeheartedly recommend this place!

Our cottage house was excellent.

Super comfortable house that catered for our small dog as well with outside lawns. The pool was a nice add on in the warm December heat. Sophia was super friendly and helpful
