We loved our stay at Magnolia Cottage, and Brigette was a wonderful host! The cottage is cozy and pristine -- we especially loved the two floor/loft environment and two bathrooms. The kitchen was clean and was comfortable to cook in. The entrance to get to the property is a beautiful, lush garden/property, and guests have private parking. Wifi was stable and accommodated both my husband and I being on video work calls at the same time. We thought the location was great for going on walks in the evening, and a Woolworth's is closeby (walkable!) for shopping. The hosts were accommodating to us extending our reservation and worked with us on cleaning times and check-in/check-out schedules where possible. We would love to stay here again if/when we visit Cape Town again in the future for work trips!

Brigitte sent clear instructions relating to parking allocation and met us at the guest entrance to the property to hand over the keys and show us to the cottage. The facilities were excellent and provided all we needed for an enjoyable week's stay in a superb location. Set in beautiful grounds, the cottage was serviced 6 days of the week by the lovely Twaya with bedding and towels changed regularly. There was a pool, with sun loungers, available for our use, together with outdoor seating and a bbq, if we had chosen to use it. Ample provision was made for any interruptions of power due to load shedding with tv, wifi and some lighting maintained by battery backup. The location is brilliant and just around the corner from Newlands Cricket Ground, with Palmyra Junction shopping centre just a short drive away. We would certainly be happy to stay at Magnolia Cottage for any return trips to Cape Town.

There was nothing about this property that we disliked, although the clear glass around the upstairs ensuite took a bit of getting used to!

Exceptional, very organised hosts and wonderful facilities, great attention to detail and superb cleanliness! Lovely garden setting, private pool and outdoor area. Worth the money we spent. Could not find any fault and will be back! Thank you!

Twaya was very nice to welcome us and hand the keys. The cottage is simply superb. High end equipments, real kitchen and power generator in case of load shedding we luckily didn't experience. Superb bed. Pool, grill, friendly dog and cat visiting in the evening. Peaceful and quiet. The experience feels very much like finding a "home". Shopping center and restaurants within walking distance. One of the best experience ever and totally worth the price. Highly recommended!

The door handle of the cottage had lose screws and came off.

It was bright, clean and in a good area.
