Olive and Vine Farm Cottage

Location simply stunning - a working vineyard and olive farm - fabulous base to visit all that Franschhoek has to offer. Sophia and Daniel are both beautiful souls, always keen to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our cottage was spacious and very well equipped for self catering - although we ate in only twice - compared with the UK, eating out is very inexpensive. The offer to walk the vineyard as we wished was lovely, as was the small outdoor space. Olive & Vine is a budget option, the relatively low cost suited us on this occasion. Thinking about spending longer in South Africa over our UK winter, we were keen to stay somewhere that felt like we were living there, rather than on holiday - Olive and Vine ticked that box for us.

Sophia made us feel so welcome here. We absolutely loved the little farm cottage. The outdoors bath gave it extra special character. We normally aim not to go back to the same place twice but I'm more than convinced that we will be making an exception with this one. Thank you so much, Sophia. We loved our stay.

The cottage is clean, comfortable and well-equipped, and Sophia is a great host.

The only issue we had was with connectivity, but that was more due to load shedding than any problem with the cottage itself. When the router was off due to power outages, the connection to Vodacom was also virtually non-existent.

Very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the views and the room. Our host Sophia was very friendly and helpful. The company of the dogs was an extra treat. It’s not far from the village so you can walk down there for restaurants or shopping.

Location was very good and beautiful and very friendly arrival and welcoming.

The WIFI connection that was very poor and just less dogs and cats around the vicinity of the guests.
