It is an unforgettable experience to stay in such a well preserved old building with such an impressive history. Beautiful surroundings and quiet.

Beautiful house and location. The host was very friendly.

The antique beds, though fitting with the house and rest of the furniture, were not very comfortable an creaked a lot.

The property was traditional Cape Dutch as were the furnishings. Amazing price for the huge living accommodation, facilities and location.

The price point of the accommodation was appealing for budget-conscious travelers. Despite its wear, the farm's house charmed us with its beauty and historic ambiance. The Mooiplaas wines stood out remarkably, adding a delightful element to our stay. Having access to braai facilities allowed us to enjoy the farm's outdoor setting fully.

Our stay at Mooiplaas didn't meet our high expectations, influenced by its positive reviews and our experiences in Stellenbosch. Only one of our two rooms had air conditioning, leading to discomfort at night. The provision of essentials like shower gel, dishwashing supplies, coffee, and milk was minimal, suggesting an effort to cut costs at the expense of guest comfort. The bed was too high and narrow, with awkwardly placed electric blanket sockets. We were surprised to find firewood was an extra charge, despite buying eight bottles of their wine, which felt more like an upsell than hospitality. The lack of cleaning service, especially problematic during a heatwave due to unemptied bins and no extra bin bags, significantly affected our comfort. Compared to other accommodations in Stellenbosch, Mooiplaas was disappointing. Despite its potential, our experience fell short of the standard we’ve come to enjoy in the area.

Fair. Excess road, terrible.

The property is beautiful, the historical furnishings were a nice touch, gardens are lovely. Wish we had more time to enjoy the wine and cheese tasting and take a picnic.

Cool lights made the room seem a bit gloomy. Some of the kitchen utensils weren’t clean.

I like old building but need be restored

The property need to restored tile wool’s restored by old tile’s will look very good and ventilation because no windows so need extract fan to take out smelling

The location was amazing. Brilliant staff and the best wine.

The internet went out and was a bit difficult to get it back. Also the parking wasn't the easiest as there was only one spot for 2 places.
