Best Place Ever

The view was perfect, the room was clean and accomodative for us. Just that the was no tv so we had to use our phones so that was a low for us. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves.

Upgraded to the bigger room, would recommend to book the bigger room as it really is bang for buck! Loved the host and hostess! View is as promised! Area isn’t a “township” it’s more like a fishing village and that just added to the charm!

Upstairs was a tiny bit loud but honestly if you’re used to authentic SA culture it would be much of a bother!

Best place ever! Het uitzicht van hier is echt waanzinnig mooi. Je kijkt uit over Hout Bay, de haven, het strand en zelfs Chapman’s Peak. In de haven zie je het echte leven met lokale vissers, zeehondjes in het water en mensen die kajakken of suppen. Het appartement heeft alles wat je nodig hebt en de ligging is fantastisch. Ik heb vooral genoten van het bad met het prachtige uitzicht. Alexandra is een heel warme en gastvrije host. De accommodatie ligt in een lokale buurt van Hout Bay. Dat maakt het net authentiek en charmant. Helemaal veilig en een fijne manier om het echte leven in dit vissersdorpje te ervaren. Ik kom graag nog eens terug!🌞

The view was amazing.

The fact that there is no sink to wash dishes. I dont know if the expectation is that the same small bathroom sink to wash hair, teeth must be used to wash dishes. I found that to be gross and unhygienic. The very very small fridge, For 2 people, we couldnt even fit our drinks for 1 day. The convenience of the guests is not considered at all The noise from the people moving and moving furniture upstairs, for 1 night we didnt sleep at all. The people upstairs dont seem to consider that there is people hearing their almost every move. The area feels very unsafe. To drive around the neighbourhood is very unsettling with everyone outside and a lot of kids running around The parking is very tricky to get in and out of. The bedding is a mess, the pillows are flat, there is no toilet roll holder in the toilet, you either put the roll on the floor or high up there, in the shower there is no soap tray, you have to put the gel/soap on the floor. Our room was ant infested at some point, we had to take the trash at our doorstep and try to solve that ant situation. This is all things that you vacation to not have to deal with. The comfort of the guest is definitely not being prioritized and i was glad when we left. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone.

The view was nice.

This property was basically situated in a township. We told the person checking us in we were not happy and requested a refund. It was flatly refused. The parking was not suitable. It was down a steep incline and you battled to turn around at the bottom. We had a very small car. We requested an early check in when we arrive the room was not made up. We did not stay and looked for more suitable accommodation.
