Landor Stud Farm Cottage

This was such a lovely, rustic break for us, not far from home. The hosts were lovely and friendly, the setting was just as promised - a farm stay, and we loved our little intro to the herd and the baby lambs

It would have been great if there were selves in the cupboard for our clothes.

Good experience. Loved the interaction with Nica , a very insightful horse handler. She made our stay perfect. Her knowledge on the farm was invaluable. A big salute to you. The bathroom however can be upgraded as the floor was slippery and can be a problem for the elderly.

Lovely get away cottage

Peaceful location, beautiful scenery, well-equipped cottage. The braai area was much appreciated (the images of the property do not do it justice)! Pet-friendly (Staffies allowed😊) could take my pups for walks around on the gravel roads amongst the farms. Big, enclosed garden around the cottage, allowing my dogs to play outside for hours. Staff was quick to respond to any queries I had, very grateful to Danica, who recommended an alternative route due to the rains experienced at the time.

The property is nestle within a Stud farm, with 360 views of the Magaliesburg mountains. Very beautiful.

The farm house is very peaceful and we had a lovely 3 days. Great to relax and unwind.

We were only really disappointed with the Bathroom- the basin didn't drain well and we brushed our teeth in kitchen sink There was also a weird musty smell. A handrail would be helpful in shower. We also didn't realise that the swimming pool is not actually there! Its up at the main farm and we didn't go up there. We did think from how it was advertised that we would have our own private pool. And perhaps some citronella candles would help as there were many flies.

Pretty surrounds. Clean. Furnishing was fine. Spacious. Nice linen.

Fans needed in the bedrooms. No plug point under the main bedroom's dressing table or anywhere near it, for a hairdryer or the fan I brought. No shelves for clothing, only hanging space. In second bedroom, no chair for the dressing table. Bathroom very basic, beyond rustic. No shelf to put anything down, above the basin ( so very rusty and rustic) eg. Toothbrush or soap. Too many padlocks on verandah door and difficult locks eg. Stiff security gate to constantly open and close.DB board cover to open to get the keys when arriving. Everything was just too much hard work. Definitely not a space for ease and convenience, home from home. Main bed very comfy. Single bed not. Only 1 opening window in main bedroom.

What an amazing holiday away for the whole family, pets included. A great welcome WhatsApp from the owner that explains how to access everything and he was always available if you needed to know anything else. The accomodation was so clean and all the necessary equipment for a quick weekend away was provided. The animals were great to watch throughout the day. Property is well fenced which ensured that our dogs didnt get a chance to get even closer to the animals. Will definitely be back here again.
