Greenpoint Designer Apartment near Stadium & Waterfront

The apartment is very spacious for two and is in a pleasant location with a range of different shops at your doorstop, we felt safe.

Communication from the host and facilities were not as stated. The host was rude and self-entitled - stated on the apartment ad she had ‘gone the extra mile and installed an inverter so that her whole apartment is off grid. No load shedding in the apartment and full electricity all of the time’. This is a complete lie - we booked the apartment to work from and so specifically sought out a property with back-up power. Yet we were without power for days and when I contacted the host about this multiple times, my messages were ignored. This is misselling and Bettina should be forced to remove her lies to prevent other customers having the same issue. Aside from this, the apartment is dated - the TV is archaic, bathroom toilet creaks and looks like it could come off the wall at any time and the kitchen utensils are very old. The apartment looks like it has not been maintained or updated, it’s just there to earn money rather than enhance the customer experience due to the greed of the host.

The owner of the apartment, Bettina Was rude and unprofessional. * called me Drama queen. After accusing me of noise. The apartment is very dusty (carpets are not ideal and keep most of the dust and crap in ) Apartmemt looks stylish but definitely needs to remaintain - See pictures * apartment and dust in ventilation in bathroom. Knives are really not sharp. Very old TV. Noisy street facing the boulevard. More importantly, putting some music (medium volume ) at 4.30 pm on a Saturday while doing yoga was welcomed with a complaint and accusations of being disturbing. Witch frankly is strange and limits the leisure of any trip or vacation. The security guard opened the apartment on us while on Downward Dog ... to lodge this complaint. So, does have a key to the apartment. Would recommend it unless you are to stay the minimum time in the apartment and most of your time out.

Apartment very tastefully decorated.

Owner would know about loadshedding, 11 hours a day and did not provide a portable lamp. Being Summer and with no Aircon or fan being able to work the bed needs a top sheet and not just a duvet. Two coffee pods and two sachets of sugar provided for two adults for two nights. No soap is provided in the bathroom, containers were empty.

The location, the completeness of the apartment and the great view makes you feel at home. This is also definitely a great place to stay for a long time.

Best thing was that Bettina, the owner, was very helpful and timely in her responses. Security is a huge issue in South Africa, and you need help like this to negotiate entrance and use of nice properties.
