Safe and near to all shops

Host asked for R1000 breakage deposit which I wasn’t informed until after the booking was made on Booking.com. I also had to provide my baking details so refund could happen. These costs should all be included as provision has to be made for extra charge. Thanya, made us feel like they didn’t want us to stay at the apartment. As we needed a second parking spot, we were told there is not any additional parking, however when we arrived there was ample visitor to park in overnight. We were even told we can park at Eden on the Bay a completely different complex opposite which the security at Eden on the Bay said would be ridiculous if we are staying at another complex. My guest and I were rushed to provide copies of ID for both myself and my guest, which was not discussed up front on booking.com and told if we didn’t provide it our booking would be cancelled. I can understand for me as I made the booking but this should not have been necessary for my guest. Thanya explained complications with opening and closing gate, but security was stationed 24/7 at gate and they happily assisted. I made the booking but Thanya kept engaging with my guest without asking me if this was in order. We left the property earlier as we were not made to feel welcome from the beginning.

Miss Thanya is very nice and friendly, clear communication, nice view (cloudy and rainy most of our stay) within walking distance to shops, not too noisy, spacious apartment, security guards were also friendly and helpful, had a lovely stay!

No wifi, only limited DSTV channels, entrance and exit were a bit tricky at first,

It was close to the beachfront, you could see the ocean and Robben Iland in the distance, near shops and restaurants. The balcony was not assessable the first 3 days but the flatlet had brochures although I am familiar with the surroundings but it would be great for travelers visiting Cape Town.

The flatlet is close to the security gate and you are aware of that till 11pm at night. But is a personal preference. The shower is a bit small.

Our stay at Sea Gem was truly delightful. The apartment was immaculate and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The stunning ocean view and the prime location—just a short walk to the beach and shopping outlets—made our experience even more special. Tanya's warm and friendly demeanor, along with her clear and helpful explanations, added a personal touch that we greatly appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had an excellent stay with absolutely nothing to fault. Prior to our arrival, we noticed that some reviews on Booking.com mentioned challenges with security access. However, Tanya provided clear and detailed instructions, and by simply following her guidance, we encountered no issues at all. Thanks again!
