House of Bell - Vaal River

It was a nice out of the ordinary location. Beautiful view and Jeff was super helpful. So greatful for the Air-conditioning as the room we stayed in got quite hot.in the.morning sun. Great touch providing more than enough coffee, tea, sugar, milk and biscuits. Beds had a good amount of pillows. The gas barbecue was also a great addition on the balcony. And we were sooo greatful to be taken out on a cruise on the river by Jeff as ALL the other cruises only runs on weekends. The kitchen was well stocked with most things one could need when cooking, we did miss a French coffee press though.

Booking description should be amended as it says there is towels, but we had to bring our own. And the description also says Toiletries, but there was only hand soap. Was there board games(also mentioned on the booking site) It mentions Spa facilities, but I dont think it's worth mentioning if the spa is 15min drive away. We had to ask for the WiFi password, it should be written up somewhere inside as with most accomodation. Couldn't find a broom. Wasn't keen on our car standing in the hot sun without cover.

I like the cleanliness , the location of the property and the fact that it is right on the water. The host was exceptionally nice and friendly. They were very accommodating, they made the stay very comfortable, the access to the water was smooth. The host gave us his number so incase we experience problems with the boat we can call him. Indeed we experienced some problems with the boat and called him and he was there to help us within 5 minutes. He went out of his way to assist and still called to check if we arrived home safely, that was a deal breaker for me.

That there was no oil and salt. For short staay and making braais, oil would be handy.

The was no water in the morning but it was after we have bathed but overall it was great

We had an amazing stay. We didn't want to leave. The next stay will be for 4 nights instead of 2. The views were out of this world! Thanks Petra yiu are the best!

Amazing property. My only regret was staying for 2 nights instead of more! It was so hard to leave! I'll be back.
