Backup-Power Eclectic Blue City View Apartment

The host communicated with me timeously. I knew exactly what to do for check-in.

Nothing really.

Location felt safe, part of CBD but not in the rush. Security was great. Indoor parking was great. Apartment had clean bathroom. Room had alot of cooking equipment. Coffee machine was great addition, even provided capsules.

Check in messages was spammy. Absolutely hated having to send proof of ID and Passport. Got a check out message 1 day early which made me feel like just another number. Dining chair are not stable, just like the wifi. Tv remote batteries are flat. All the coffee equipment but no milk or water. The hallways felt so cold and echoing so any neighbouring sounds travel so far. Worst part, waking up to Islamic Mosque sounds at 5am, absolutely not my thing. Floor was so dirty, no idea how it could be so full of sand etc.

Amazing location--a ton of restaurants within walking distance and within walking distance of Bo-Kaap. Within 20 min drive to Camps Bay Beach, Clifton beaches, Table Mountain and airport.

I loved being central with great accessibility to so much to see, but also the actual street was quiet and my sleep wasn’t effected by any city noise. It was a lovely apartment - a little more pricey than my usual budget but I really enjoyed it. The security personnel on the concierge desk were really nice and made me feel safe and Adolphi the cleaning lady was fabulous. It really felt like a holiday apartment where I could rest and relax - just like home!

There wasn't much that I didn’t like! A few suggestions: - For some reason the Wi-Fi was different between the apartment and reception so I kept having to switch. Could make it the same. - I needed more clothes hangers (which Adolphi got for me straight away) and also more toilet paper for the bathroom. - It would be useful for the kitchen to have a sieve to drain pasta and rice - I didn’t see one. - It would have been helpful to know that the kitchen has some essentials like oil, salt / pepper, coffee / tea and also shampoo / body wash etc. to avoid buying more or at least being able to have a drink first before shopping. I shopped on my way to the apartment from the airport.
