The Coach House at Hillwood

Anthony, the host, was very communicative throughout. I liked the quiet, peaceful location of a very spacious room. The kitchen area and all were of a very high quality and well fitted out. When you stay, remember there are blinds inside curtains for the two large windows by the bed. I couldn’t sleep at night to start, relying on thin curtains only, then realised the blinds were there for use too.

The location was great . The views are awsome . The facilty was great , spacious and tidy. Very easy access to the unit ..

The unit was not serviced at all. We had to request clean towels after the second day of stay.

Stunning views, hosts were amazing. Overall a wonderful stay. I will also say amazing job on the info pack provided! The inside of the accommodation was clean and cosy. Bed super comfy & a very cute husky which was the cherry on top!

There was no oven, only a microwave oven, which unfortunately wasn’t sufficient for proper cooking. While the property does offer a stunning view, it isn’t as easy to enjoy as expected. The outdoor table is positioned right by the front door, which doesn’t make for a particularly relaxing seating area, and the view from there is largely blocked by potted trees. The accommodation is located above the garage, and along the side of the house there are doors with a beautiful view; however, these do not open due to the height and lack of barriers. It would have been lovely if they did, as this could have created a pleasant spot to sit and enjoy a coffee while taking in the scenery. However, even if this were possible, the space feels quite exposed, as it overlooks the hosts’ daily activity. This isn’t an issue at all as they are wonderful hosts, but it does make the accommodation better suited to guests who plan to be out most of the day rather than spending time relaxing at the property, such as sitting outside in the evening with a glass of wine.
