Everything tjooo even the owner is soo rude it was a terrible trip tjoo

Our host was very rude on the telephone, when I tried to explain that our flights were delayed from Saudi Arabia and we only got to the town a day later than expected. She kept referring to the terms of rental of her unit and that this would be considered as a no show. I was exhausted after being in transit for more than 24hrs and all i needed was a place to sleep. I have stayed on many other properties around the world through this platform and have never experienced such. She kept saying it was a public holiday and I was disturbing her quality time with her family. Why then would she list her contact number for emergencies if she didn't want to assist. There was also the issue of payment for the damages deposit, which had to be paid before key collection, what if I didn't have a local account to pay for this, as i was of the opinion that my credit card details would cover any payments.

There was no DSTV bouquet. The handle on the sliding door is broken.

Laguna la crete as a whole is beautiful and the location is great. Outdoor furniture was lovely.

The agent is extremely rude as everyone mentioned. We had to call and ask repeatedly for our deposit to be returned . I see others have also mentioned issues with the deposit so please be weary of this. There is also a R125 ridiculous non refundable admin fee which you are only informed of after booking and paying. This must be paid with the deposit so you basically don't have a choice. The unit does indeed smell moldy and is a health hazard . There was a broken tile in the bathroom which is quite dangerous for kids and the elderly. There were lights that were not working. We informed the agent who said she would send someone the next day but never did. The aircon in the lounge was not working. There is no Dstv /netflix or any paid for channels. Instead vhs tapes who no one in this day and age uses. The main ensuite has only a tub and not even a hand shower which rendered this bathroom completely useless. The location is beautiful so I would recommend booking at Laguna la crete just not at this unit.
