The Cross Keys

Very spacious apartment. Plenty of room for all. Beds comfy and large lounge. Helpful to have 2 bathrooms. Kitchen provided all that you need.

The hosts were extremely personable and friendly. We had not booked a table for dinner and did not arrive until 7pm however Steve fit 4 of us in to eat in the restaurant and what a delight it was. The food was amazing, good home cooked food in an extremely friendly environment and amazing value for money (large portions). This was some of the best food we've had in a pub for some time. Would definitely visit again as there's plenty to do in the area.

We loved everything! The property is huge, there were 2 adults and 4 children, 3 of which were teenagers and we all had our own space. 2 bathrooms was valuable, large living room, ample space to all sit. Games and books available. Washing up liquid, sponges, tea towels, toilet roll, towels, welcome basket with bread, butter, croissants, crisps, tea, coffee, sugar, milk. Plenty of pots and pans, lots of glasses and crockery, with ample cutlery. The hosts were brilliant, talked to them in the bar and they were so helpful and kind. Ate in the restaurant, food was plentiful and delicious, great prices for food and drinks too. Lovely little village, walking distance to Ushaw House which has a cafe. Nothing else in the village but close to Langley Park with shops. Close to the park and ride for Durham. Close to Beamish. Excellent position for exploring the area. Such a little gem.

The flat is very spacious and comfortable seating in the large sitting room . The kitchen has all you need for cooking meals . Everyone enjoyed the goodies in the lovely welcome pack . Can recommend the pub for lovely meals.

It was all good although it did get chilly one evening and we couldn’t turn the heating on

Property was fantastic. Immaculate condition throughout, very spacious and very comfortable. Pictures on booking.com don’t do it justice. staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment is situated above a lovely local pub. We stayed on a Friday & Saturday night when the pub was busy, but sitting in the apartment we couldn’t hear any noise from the pub. Would highly recommend the cross keys as wonderful place to stay . Thanks to all the staff who made our stay so great and we will definitely be back….

The property was absolutely stunning; spotless inside, with plush beds across all the bedrooms, two sofas in a spacious lounge. It was easy to switch off and digitally detox. The sounds from the pub downstairs were homely and comforting (as were the sounds of the birds nesting nearby!). There was easy road access to nearby towns and attractions, too.
