The Cross Keys

The property was well stocked & very homely. The owner was extremely helpful & friendly & left a wonderful welcome basket.

It was a little noisy in a night time while the pub was open, but nothing too rowdy.

We had such a nice and relaxing 2-night stay at The Cross Keys. The flat was even better than on the pictures. It is modern, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the owners are so kind and helpful. Some breakfast items were provided which was wonderful as we didn’t have time to do any shopping before arriving. We ate in the pub downstairs twice and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The location was perfect for us, about 20 min drive from the Beamish museum and Kynren. Parking was very easy, just in front of the door. If we travel that way again, there is no doubt that we will book The Cross Keys again.

Comfort, cleanliness of apartment over a lovely pub. Hosts, Karen and Steve helpful. 4 bedrooms, lounge and well equipped kitchen make this ideal for 2 families. The Cross Keys serves good food and has a selection of real ales.

Owners were lovely and welcoming. Food in the restaurant was delicious and the accommodation is fabulous for the price. Highly recommend

We had a warm and comfortable stay and despite the accommodation being above the pub it was quiet and secure. The apartment has wonderful views, it is furnished very well and it has everything you need, including a generous welcome pack and toiletries. The Owners are very friendly and helpful.

The Internet was patchy but it wasn't a major issue for the duration of our stay.

This was our 2nd visit and it didn't disappoint. Exceptionally clean, excellent facilities and the hosts are so friendly. The food in the pub below is amazing. We will certainly we returning.
