I discovered it by chance last year, this time I looked for it intentionally. the guys are very friendly and helpful, the structure is very nice and the breakfast is good.

Assa was a little out of our comfort zone, with our poor language skills but so worth it, hundreds of camels, stunning fossils, great scenery. The room was comfortable and our host went out his way to look after us. Even providing a dinner one night as he had been given extra from a family wedding. The chanting and drums nearby were soothing and musical, we enjoyed our stay.

The sink tap had a leak during our stay flooding the bathroom floor each night. But not a big problem.

Great place to experience traditional accommodation from Assa. The host is gentle and polite. On top of that he knows this place very well and can tell quite some interesting stories in regards to this ancient place. The place is a bit remote but for people who enjoy seeing ancient places and pure culture it's a perfect place to spend time.

Best host ever, we appreciate the time and how everything was made with love. The location, the house! Was a privilege to stay in a house 700 years old. A trip to remember and for sure the tasty food.

Good base for herping, they organised a trip with Haifa and Hassan to the wadi and several cisterns, ended up finding Echis

This place is absolutely amazing!!! It's a medieval ksar turned into a magical little hotel. The location is stunning, the room with a private bathroom is beautiful and atmospheric, the service is awesome, Ibrahim and Mahmoud took great care of us and the local guide Ali was so helpful, he took us to the nomadic festival and told us everything about the area. You can easily get a grand taxi there from Guelmim for 50 dirhams per person, there are Supratours buses too. It's a perfect place for somebody looking for something exceptional and away from typically touristic routes. At the maison they serve fantastic food and it's not a problem to get vegeterian options too. Highly recommended!
