I have never been treated like this in the last 20 years with booking. Upon my arrival I called the owner to hand me the keys. His manager told me that the previous guest had taken the key so I was assigned a new apartment. I said fine. No apology. I arrived at a workers' hostel. My dog raised his eyebrows when he saw the room. Filthy, unkept, broken furniture. THe boiler is not safe for use. The sink is at my knee! level, (I am 187 cms, so no NBA player). I contacted the owner telling him that this was unacceptable. No response. I called Booking Customer Service, which made him respond to me. No apology, no care. He made it crystal clear in so many ways that he has ZERO care for what happens to us guests. Later that evening he promised to turn over the original apartment the next morning at 10 AM. That he put in writing on the messaging board. I went from the workers' hostel to the new place with my dog, food in the trunk at 10. No show. THe owner did not bother to come and let me in. I called him, messaged him. Again Booking. Booking made him answer me. He actually had the nerve to say that we agreed on 16.00. Finally, after lots and lots of stress I was admitted at 16.00. In the new apartment "only" the stovetop did not work and the bathroom window had no curtain or blinds. It is a ground floor unit, the bathroom overlooking a courtyard. I guess I was the show of the day. I asked Booking to look into this issue. 138 negative reviews should indicate that this person should not ruin Booking's reputation. Thank you for listening
